Built for the Caribbean
000° · due north ↓000° · N The Firm
Trade Winds Builders Ltd. is a design-build firm based in Nassau, The Bahamas, serving government, institutional and community clients across the islands. We take projects from first survey to finished, operating places — and we hold ourselves to the standard those places deserve: work that survives scrutiny, weather and time.
One accountable team from concept through construction into stewardship, so nothing is lost in the hand-offs.
Parks, memorials, public buildings and the places a nation gathers — delivered with the consent, care and ceremony they require.
Every detail drawn for the climate it will actually meet: hurricane wind, salt air, sun and the shallow sea.
045° · NE The Name
The north-east trade winds are the reason The Bahamas exists as it does — the winds that carried sail into these waters, that fill regatta canvas today, and that name this company. In sailing language a following wind is a blessing. We try to be one.
090° · E What We Build
National parks and gardens, memorial precincts, monuments and the settings of ceremony — designed with heritage authorities, delivered with dignity.
Buildings and grounds for courts, agencies and public institutions, procured to institutional standards and documented to survive audit.
Waterfront places, mobility hubs and public realm engineered for storm surge, uplift and salt — resilience as a starting assumption, not an upgrade.
Bahamian houses in the Bahamian way — hip roofs pitched to shed hurricane wind, verandas set to catch the trades, built to be kept for generations.
135° · SE Method
A construction firm wearing a navigator's instrument makes a promise: position first, then course, then way. Our delivery method runs in the same order.
Before scope is added, jurisdiction is settled: heritage approvals, landowner rights, ceremonial stakeholders, community voice. Permissions are the first fix on the chart.
Costings, programmes and revenue claims that hold under adversarial review. We would rather correct a number before submission than defend it after.
Detailing for wind uplift, corrosion and surge; materials chosen for this latitude — so the finished work stands its watch in September, not just at ribbon-cutting.
A place is not delivered at practical completion. We plan maintenance, staffing and stewardship from day one, and stay aboard where clients want us to.

We are headquartered in Nassau, New Providence, and organised for Family Island delivery — where logistics, freight and local trades decide whether a programme holds. The wider Caribbean shares our weather; it shares our standards too.

225° · SW Engagements
Live proposals in development with public and institutional counterparties. Details are shared with stakeholders directly, at the level of confidence each audience requires.
Revitalisation of a historic memorial garden in the civic heart of the capital — landscape, monuments and ceremonial grounds delivered under heritage consent.
A mixed-use waterfront concept pairing public parkland with sustainable mobility, structured as a public-private partnership.
270° · W Stewardship
Civic ground is borrowed from the public and from history. Working on it is a privilege with obligations attached — and we treat those obligations as part of the specification, not a courtesy.
